An Empirical Study on the Affecting Factors of China´s Textiles Importing Growth

First, based on the standard international trade classification, this paper analyzed the characteristics of China´s textile imports, and pointed out the importance of studying on China´s textile imports. Second, this paper systematically reviewed the theory and practice achievements of trade gravity model, in order to settle a foundation for introducing the model into the paper. Finally, the paper made a moderate amendment on the original trade gravity model according to the features of China´s textile industry, mainly increased some explanation variables reflecting industrial characteristics and imports trade. Besides, the paper in detail analyzed and discussed the affecting factors which influenced on China´s textile imports trade. These studies would provide some guiding ideas for the overall development of China´s textile industry.
