Abstract
Jawa Bali power system represents nearly 80% total loads of Indonesia. JCC is the master station that control power system in Jawa Bali. Energy management and 500 kV EHV T/L switching are the main tasks to be maintained optimal. For the complexity of the network that consists of hundreds generator units and substations and thousands KMC of transmission line, it needs EMS application tools to help dispatcher to control the system securely and economically. EMS is the application that being embedded to the SCADA systems. LFC and NA is the main parts of EMS that being used in JCC. In this paper, experiences of JCC in using LFC since 1993 is presented and described. The process of database and TM/TS improvement in order to activate NA after 18 years blocked is discussed as well. In advance, experiences of dispatcher in using NA will be shared.
