Abstract
We propose and demonstrate a practical application of femtosecond laser ablation technique for the fabrication of a core mode blocker. We also describe the core mode blocker-based all-fiber tunable bandpass filter with an insertion loss of 1.8dB and non-resonance wavelength suppression of 23dB.
