Abstract :
The INTELSAT K-TV spacecraft, to be deployed at 95°E longitude, will be launched in early 1999 and provide high EIRP Ku-band services with favourable elevation angles over India, East Asia and Southeast Asia, and EIRP levels in the range of 50 dBW to 54 dBW. The spacecraft provides 30 transponders, two transmit/receive beams with shaped coverages, two steerable spot beams with shaped coverages, and the flexibility of assigning at will a number of transponders between different coverages
