Aspects of power transformer asset management

Power transformers are high value capital items which require close attention. This paper looks at the control loop aspects involved in managing these assets through off line testing and on line condition monitoring. These approaches must be merged into an overall asset management approach which is consistent both with the needs of the organization and the availability of engineering staff.
