  • Abstract
    Materialized view technology is widely used in XML databases. With the increasing of the number of views in database, it is inevitably to encounter the storage problem. In an attempt to solve this problem, this paper proposes a lazy materialized view concept and implements a lazy materialized view based on B/S model. This lazy materialized view can effectively reduce the storage space required for materialized views, thereby it can significantly improve the response time of XML database system in certain circumstances.
