Abstract :
We report for the first time results relating to reflections/multi-path induced interferometric noise in microwave fibre radio systems. We use a rigourous formulation based on the modified Chernoff bound providing an accurate upper bound on the BER and power penalty. Simulated results show good agreement with the analytical findings.
