Abstract :
Thinopyrum elongatum can provide a lot of profitable genes for improving the qualities, resistance and agronomical traits of wheat. It is an effective method to transfer the profitable genes of Th. elongatum into wheat by inducing chromosome transloctions. In this study, to inducing wheat-Th. elongatum 7E chromosome translocations, hybrid, backcross and selfcross were done between Chinese spring-Th. Elongatum 7E, 7ES and 7EL disomic addition lines and Chinese spring-Ae.cylindryca gametocidal chromosome 2C disomic addition lines. The aberrations of chromosome behaviors were observed in F2 and BC1 plants, indicated that the gametocidal chromosome was effective during the formation of gametes. The percentage of seed setting were decreased in F1, F2 and BC1 plants, indicating that the gametocidal chromosome 2C had effect on wheat- Th. elongatum 7E chromosome addition lines.
