Abstract :
With the rapid development of urban rail transit (URT) , URT has become the city´s main energy-hungry, the need for energy saving is increasingly prominent. The parking lots, vehicle depots and elevated lines of URT provide huge space for building PV system along them. This paper, Shanghai URT based, the feasibilities and patterns of PV generation system connecting to URT power system were studied. Study results show that it was feasible to introduce PV energy to URT power system, and there were two options to integrate PV generation system: AC or DC gird-connected. The paper also discussed the grid-connected topology and control strategy, and related simulation was carried out. Simulation results show that the DC grid-connected provides more development expected in technique and would maximize the multi-benefit of PV generation system compared with AC grid-connected.
