Abstract
This paper presents a novel adaptive acoustic echo cancellation for teleconferencing systems based upon the decorrelation least mean squares (DLMS) algorithm and iterative maximal length correlation (IMLC) technique. Since the DLMS adaptive filter works well during single-talk (ST) and the IMLC estimator works well during double-talk (DT), the new acoustic echo cancellation estimates the impulse response of the room (RIR) by the DLMS algorithm during ST and estimates the RIR by the IMLC technique during DT. The computer simulations confirm that the new acoustic echo cancellation can provide excellent echo cancellation under all acoustic-operating conditions.
