Abstract :
Energy efficiency becomes an important topic in times of climate change and efforts on CO2 reduction. In this context building insulation is a very important keyword, because insufficient insulation can cause heat and energy loss. Studies about the insulation of single buildings are time consuming and cost-intensive. Therefore a pre-selection of appropriate objects with high energy loss would be helpful. But still there doesn´t exist any efficient method for the identification process of buildings or building complexes. As a consequence the research project “Geomonitoring für Energieeffizienz NRW” follows the aim to develop suitable concepts for the object identification. Besides this the effects of refurbishments could be monitored.
