Abstract :
Although its Electricity Act 2002 was annulled by the Constitution Commission in 2004, the government of Indonesia is keep trying to introduce competition in its power sector. This paper try to identify issues around restructured market in order to make suggestion for the Indonesian state own electricity utility to be prepared better in facing the new environment. Issues under consideration are submarkets in a wholesale market, retail competition, transition into competition, business separation, and regulation.
