Abstract :
In this study, we investigate the potential of a light-focusing device (LFD) for high coupling of self-collimated beams from two-dimensional photonic crystals. The high transmission power is higher than 70% by removing at z=8. The LFD consists of a slab waveguide to calculate its coupling efficiency, and the numerical results show the coupling efficiency is about 66%. The proposed LFD increase the transmission power about 18% compared with original LFD.
