Abstract :
In conventional reliability assessment, the reliability data of system components are treated as crisp values. However, reliability analysis often makes use of uncertain data and approximate system modelling. Hence fuzzy formulation represents an effective tool for reliability analysis. This paper proposes a methodology for the reliability analysis of repairable systems using the fault tree model and triangular fuzzy numbers for the basic events data. A computer code is developed for estimating the reliability measures of the system. A numerical example illustrating the method is provided
