Abstract :
Reengineering is the fundamental rethinking and radical redesign of business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in cost, quality, service and speed. The qualitative nature of information related to reengineering is better expressed with words and ideally its risks should be assessed through natural language. In this research, we selected critical managerial reengineering issues from the literature and developed parallels between reengineering and fuzzy systems. Since reengineering costs and risks are high and success is not always attainable, we recommend the development of fuzzy models that may assist managers in evaluating reengineering initiatives
