Abstract :
This work reports research on power quality transient phenomena of wind parks using a state space model. Transient conditions in wind speed, voltage connection circuit and reference power, are applied to a wind park (WP). Flicker, sags, current and power transients are analyzed. Dependency of these effects on the wind speed variability and on the electrical power system transient conditions is shown. The wind turbine induction generator is modeled in dqO coordinates by means of a sixth order set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) to examine the response of the model under transient conditions.
