Abstract :
We propose a novel algorithm for the phase-noise estimation to improve the sensitivity of a non-coherent multilevel differential phase-shift-keyed (DxPSK) receiver. We demonstrated nearly quantum-limited receiver sensitivity for D8PSK signals with this algorithm.
