Abstract
This paper is a comparison of two new subband prewhitening algorithms based on forward prediction error filters under development at Loughborough for improving the adaptation performance of multirate acoustic echo cancellers in hands-free telephony. The subband decomposition is provided by the novel polyphase all-pass QMF filterbanks developed at Imperial College as part of the FREETEL project
