Abstract
The step-up inverter with controlled output current manages DC-to-AC power transfer, with any ratio between the DC and the AC levels. By reversing the energy flow, this circuit becomes a high power factor step-down (or step-up) rectifier. Sliding mode is applied to control the fifth-order system. Simulation results of a 1 kW inverter/rectifier are included to confirm the analysis
