Abstract :
This work presents a methodology to obtain a geometric and frequency dependent model of integrated magnetics. The modeling procedure presented in this work is based on the use of 2D instead of 3D finite element analysis (FEA) solvers. The main advantages of this procedure are that all geometrical and frequency effects are taken into account using 2D FEA solvers, but the time consumption is much lower than using 3D solvers. Some experimental results illustrate the application of the methodology, which is especially useful to adjust the coupling coefficient between each pair of windings before the component construction
