Abstract :
Small-scale embedded generation, in the guise of combined heat and power (CHP) equipment (which is defined for the purposes of this paper as being below 1 MW electrical at LV), is being implemented increasingly in the UK. The known network effects of the present level of generation are discussed and the probable effects, if the desire to install CHP continues or expands, are explored
