Abstract :
This paper deals with the implementation of series active filter for compensation of current harmonics and analysis of the stability of the system. The series active filter and shunt passive filter combination allows a better compensation performance of nonlinear load. So the hybrid series active filter(HSAF) behaves as a harmonic isolator in between source and load. Due to the presence of passive filter the rating of active part reduces. In this paper simulation work has been done by using mat lab Simulink. The aim of the simulation is to define the harmonic compensation and reactive power compensation of both the voltage type harmonic producing load and current type harmonic producing load. In this paper synchronous reference frame current control method is discussed, And also to designing the parameter such as capacitor.
