Abstract :
It is important to measure thickness of slag dynamically in the process of steelmaking in order to produce high quality steel, eddy current testing has lots advantage to measure it, and system design is based on the analyzing of impedance of sensors. In this paper, we take example of measuring the thickness distribution of liquid slag layer in mold of metallurgical industry; Impedance property is work out by figuring out a three-dimensional physical model´s electromagnetic fields distribution using finite element method, a unconventional probe array was adopted in the model.
