Abstract
This paper shows hour to enhance the robustness of servomechanism control by using adaptive prediction error methods to cancel, equalize, and counteract the high frequency resonances of a mechanical structure that would otherwise make the control unstable. Three formulations of prediction error methods are considered. A preferred arrangement gives superior performance in the presence of measurement noise.
