Abstract :
The authors present an engineering system aimed at the design of semicustom analog integrated circuits. The system covers the areas of electrical design of cells, performance assessment, and layout generation with online connectivity extraction within analog circuit design. The novel features of this system are demonstrated for the design of a 280-Mb/s optical data link using a proprietary 4000-element analog array master produced in a bipolar UHF technology
