Abstract :
With the rapid progress of science and technology, innovation activities have become increasingly globalized and become the main driving force of the world´s economy and social development. Now U. S. A. is one of the great economic powers of the world. On one hand, it gets benefit from its own industrial developing process of more than 100 years. On the other hand, it also gets benefit from its world-famous innovation speed and innovation number. Therefore, the American training model of innovative talents is focused on by the whole world. Starting from the instructional characteristics of American universities, this article does some research work on how to foster innovative talents from the following aspects including teaching methods, assessment methods, allocation of educational resources, ability-fostering and so on, so that it can provide some reference to the teachers on how to foster and educate innovative talents in China´s universities.
