Abstract
The ASM-MBF method consists of obtaining Macro Basis Functions from the Array Scanning Method. The method remains accurate when the array supports eigenmodes, even if the eigenmode condition is not exactly considered among the spectral-domain solutions. Based on examples for arrays and tapered-slot antennas, we show that this may be related to the high stability of the eigenvector corresponding to the eigenmode current distribution.
