Abstract :
A fibre Bragg grating sensor system capable of demultiplexing eight gratings with a spatial resolution of less than 3 m has been shown. Using an interferometric phase shift analysis a higher sensitivity is possible compared with some WDM approaches. The system is expandable to accommodate a larger number of grating and improved spatial resolutions should be possible
