Abstract :
A teletraffic study of a non-geostationary mobile satellite system (MSS) is presented in this paper. Both analytical and simulation approaches have been followed and results are shown and compared. Effects of the variation of the mobility of the MSS, as seen by a user on Earth, are explained. This permits an assessment of the effects of different cell pattern lay-outs on Earth and different types of satellite constellations on the teletraffic performance of the MSS
