  • Abstract
In the classical SIT formulation, the static solution (or its approximation given by local-edge solution) is shown to provide a better initial guess, which reduces the root mean square error (RMS) at zero-step and enhances the convergence. The method is used to find the surface current distribution on a microstrip due to a normally incident TM electric-field. Local edge solution is employed as a zero-order approximation in the SIT scheme, significantly improving the convergence.
