            Abstract : 
We report the nanospectroscopy of Cr:YAG double-clad crystal fiber using near-field scanning optical microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The emission spectra of the strained core, and nanocrystals and clusters in inner cladding are resolved.
