Abstract :
In order to reduce the radiated emissions from communication cables, we investigated a relation between the stray capacitance of a signal transformer and the common mode currents. From analysis and experimental results, it is confirmed that the stray capacitances of the signal transformer have strong correlation to the common mode currents and magnetic field strength. This indicates that the implementation design of transformer is an important factor to reduce the radiated emissions.
