Abstract :
A procedure of the airborne gamma spectrometer data interpretation is suggested. The Monte-Carlo simulations using the EGS-4 code were carried out to obtain the theoretical gamma spectra for different radioactive isotopes distributions. Then the spectrum intervals associated with the direct and scattered gamma-radiation of experimental and theoretical spectra are compared and concentration of natural (U, Th, K, etc.) and artificial (137Cs, 134Cs, etc.) isotopes as well as the parameters of their distribution in soil for defined a priori models are determined
