Abstract :
The performance characteristics of three sections of unbalanced and two sections of unbalanced and two sections of balanced distributed mixer which are subharmonically drain pumped are considered. The optimum operating conditions are found with the help of the nonlinear simulator in Microwave Harmonica Program by using the nonlinear GaAs MESFET model. The conversion gain of ±0.5 dB for unbalanced and ±1 dB for balanced form over the signal frequency band 2-12 GHz with an IF of 70 MHz is obtained
