Abstract :
Necessity of digital video stabilization has come into view as a very challenging field with the mounting demand of digital imaging devices. Videos captured by such devices endure some unwanted motions in the frames of videos, which are mostly ending of free body or environmental vibrations. These vibrations cause an obvious dwindling in the visual feature of the captured video. Along with this, videos often undergo undesirable exposure and white balance changes between successive frames due to the continuous automatic exposure and white balance control of the device in response to illumination and content changes of the scene. In order to effectively get rid of the unwanted camera motions and tone jitter, video stabilization is introduced with adjustment of tone in frames of captured video. This paper describes different techniques used for stabilization of video including smoothness of motion and tonal uniformity within video frames.
