Abstract :
In this paper the radiating properties of patch antennas printed on multilayered structures including chiral slabs are addressed. The effects on radiation due to the introduction of chirality have been debated for a long time leading to contrasting positions. The aim of this paper is to try to point out the typical features of this kind of antenna and to suggest the further work that has to be done in order to get convenient structures. The radiating properties have been studied both in terms of resonant behavior and in terms of radiated field, and numerical results for a simple configuration are presented.
