Abstract :
The authors investigate the RCS of conducting cylinders with protuberances and indentations. The numerical technique applied is the point matching method taking the edge condition into account. The RCS of the varied cylinders were compared with those of the parallel plate waveguide cavity and the rectangular cylinder, the contributions of protuberances and indentations to the scattering field were clarified especially in terms of resonance phenomena.
