Abstract :
A traffic model of mobile integrated systems is proposed to characterize the traffic overflow from terrestrial to satellite cells. In order to render that model an effective design tool for the integrated coverage, the probability of inter-system handovers has been accounted for. In addition, a priority technique in satellite resource management has been introduced to provide a uniform service quality degree for the covered area. Results are presented, which seem very promising for the provision of a seamless integrated coverage through wise management of satellite resources
