Abstract
This paper recognize problem and describes solution to overcome harmonic distortion in offshore power system. Especially we focus on load analysis of power system harmonics which caused from load variation. Generally offshore plant composed of Top drive (VFD, motor-750kW), Pump (power pack, motor-1~2.5MW), Compressor (10~20MW), Pipeline heating (0.1~1.5MW), Subsea control (20~50Kw) and Coalescer (10~20kVA). Unbalance of power load makes harmonics using droop control which changed full load to no load and verified using VTB(Virtual Test Bed) simulation.
