Abstract :
The Ericsson Wideband testbed is an experimental mobile radio system based on wideband CDMA. With the testbed it is possible to demonstrate wireless multimedia services such as high quality speech, real-time live video, Internet and other data services in a mobile radio environment. The testbed is very flexible both with respect to the air interface concept and the system architecture. A wide range of mixed services need to be supported by future mobile radio systems. This will make optimization of the radio resource and system capacity even more critical than today. With the testbed it is now possible to perform studies on these issues in real environments
