Abstract
An analytical model is developed to investigate the capacity reduction of a DS/CDMA system when analog interferers are overlaid with the imperfect power controlled DS/CDMA system in the same area. In this analysis, we focus on the DS/CDMA system capacity as a function of the deviation of the imperfect power control, the Nakagami fading parameter, the number of analog interferers and average power, and the processing gain on the reverse link. The effect of the maximal ratio combining (MRC) diversity is considered. It is shown that the capacity of the DS/CDMA system is very sensitive not only to the imperfect power control but to the number of interfering analog users, average powers of analog interferers, fading parameters, processing gain and the threshold with MRC diversity
