Abstract :
Polymer Si-Fe (PSF) coagulant was prepared by co-polymerization. The oxidization of PSF was investigated by using jar test for humic acid (HA) solution sample and measuring oxidization-reduction potential (ORP) compared with that of polyferric aluminum (PFA). The results show that PSF has higher ORP value than PFA, with the difference of 420mV. PSF is an oxidization coagulant that possibly changes the molecular structure of HA, which leads to the improvement of adsorption of HA.
