Abstract :
An oblate semi-spheroidal cavity is flush mounted under a metal plane, is filled with DNG metamaterial, and is excited by an axial electric dipole. The fields are found analytically everywhere as infinite series of oblate spheroidal wave functions whose expansion coefficients are determined explicitly, thus yielding a new canonical solution to a boundary-value problem.
