  • Abstract
    An explicit analytical expression is proposed for approximating the generalised normalised diode equation. This function is simple, presents a correct asymptotic behaviour, and offers a highly improved accuracy in comparison with previous models. I can be advantageously used in CAD to avoid long computations.
