Abstract :
For solving linear systems Ax = b, different preconditioned SOR methods have been proposed by many authors. In this paper, a preconditioned AOR iterative method is presented with a new preconditioner, based on the I + S(α) type preconditioning matrices provided by Hadjidjmos et al. and Evans et al.. The corresponding convergence and comparison results are given and some numerical examples are performed to illustrate the efficiency of our method.
