Abstract :
A computer-science course design was sought which could assure rigorous and uniform treatment of the subject in spite of the delivery technology. With appropriate pacing and scope and with the treatment of topics in well-defined video lectures, it was decided to limit each lecture to a half an hour. It was also decided to cover the course content in a total of thirty video lectures, which at two lectures per week, conforms easily to the typical college semester for a two credit course. The recitation portion would be accomplished through on-line computerized conferencing.
