Abstract
Two branch polarization diversity at the receiving end of a mobile link in investigated when the transmitter emits a linearly polarized signal. In this research, the effect of the elevated angle between the mobile and base station is included in deriving an expression for the correlation coefficient between the signal received by the two branches and the average received signal level to that of a receiver with a single copolarized antenna.
