Abstract :
An approach to lowering development costs using resources available to aerospace companies is examined. It makes use of the WBS (work breakdown structure) data capturing model, a tool to capture, analyze, and report data for satellite projects. It is based on the work breakdown structure, which is used by project managers throughout the satellite life cycle to predict, manage, and report project costs. The WBS data capturing model provides the company with a method of saving costs by efficiently perpetuating the methods and designs using a structure that is familiar. It does not burden programs beyond normal configuration and data management required virtually all programs
