Abstract :
In this paper we analyze the electric field in a measurement setup utilized for determining the shape of a blade. Conformal mapping is utilized to obtain a mathematical representation of the electric field. This representation permits a sensitivity analysis with respect to the distinct geometrical properties of the measurement setup. The result of the analysis enables the optimization of the position and the layout of the measurement electrodes.
