Abstract
At the University of Hartford a 1 credit course in professional practice in EE (electrical engineering) has been developed which is required to be taken during the second semester of junior year and serves as a prelude to the sensor design project. The goal of this course is to introduce students to a variety of topics that are needed for their professional growth but are not included in regular EE courses. The topics range from managerial issues, through design tools, to employment options
